So much for technology..

Choo-er Filed Under:

These days there are many devices, equipment and gadgets designed to help ease our lives and supposedly save time. But I must say, not everything I have come across made my life easier albeit there some which really lived up to their claims.

Technology A - Philips Garment Steamer
It is said to remove obvious creases but somehow I do not find it to be so. It is supposed to cut short ironing time but it does not. It is frustrating when it does not work as it claims to. Because of this device, I have added back another "housewife" task to my list of household chores which was once "contracted" out to the launders..*sigh*
Ironing was made tougher, more hassle as well. The steam was hot enough to burn my hands a few times but somehow was just not hot enough to remove creases *scratches head*. The need to constantly add water to the reservoir of the steamer was really very 'mah fann' (which means troublesome in Cantonese) *shakes head in disappointment*

On the other hand there's an equipment which has been very helpful with household cleaning :D....

Technology B - Dyson Handheld Vacuum
This is one device which is very very useful and I truly <3 using. The performance of this vacuum is exceptional and they best of all is that it does not lose suction power; providing the same, effective suction till the very last second. The recharging time is also not very long, it is fully portable, has multiple cleaning heads and can be used not just in the home but also for the car :D

Anyway, back to donning the housewife hat with lots more ironing to be done but will be using my ever faithful conventional yet rather advanced iron, Technology C - the Tefal Aquaspeed 150 Steam Iron.
